Author’s Foreword: This is the eighteenth part of much longer story, if you haven’t read the previous parts, the story will make much more sense if you go back and start from the beginning. The first part is mostly background so is a bit boring but it isn’t very long, the sex really gets started in the second part. Also, you should read A Victorian Sex Beginning Pt 01, before reading this part, as it is the story written by Hannah, Martha and Robert (Daniel’s Grandfather, Grandmother, and great Aunt) about how they became lovers. Daniel and his lovers read that story in Pt. 16. Parts 01 to 13 are short, then they start getting longer. This part turned out to be 11 pages long. Sept 2021 Update: error fixes and a few slight improvements in wording.
Warning, this part and future parts will be filled with explicit incestuous activity between adult participants, all over 18 years of age, who share a forbidden love. If fictional incest offends you, please don’t read this story. It is my intention to try and make this story romantic, I like romance in my sexual stories, where people care about each other rather than people who just use others to get off. This is a fantasy, do not try this in the real world.
I am interested in hearing from readers what you think about the story. Please note that this story is written primarily in American idiom as that is what is natural to me.
Editor’s Note from the Harem Historian:
This section of Daniel’s memoir didn’t need much editing to remove uninteresting material, most of it deals with matters central to the evolution of the harem. I’m sure every member of the harem has heard some version of Daniel’s rescue of his Aunt Deborah and her daughters, here are the events in his own words. Although he downplays his wound, if you read the description of where his wound was, it is obvious that if he had been slightly less lucky, the harem might have ceased to exist that night, at least as we know it. I’m not sure if all the women would have stayed together without the love and presence of Daniel to bond them together. I suspect the harem might have broken up into family units over time.
But fortunately that didn’t happen, and here, in his own words, is what did happen.
Chapter Fifty-One: Checking on Aunt Deborah.
Mamma woke me in the morning and I got ready to go find out how Aunt Deborah and her daughters were. I dressed for a day in the country, including shoes suitable for waking on rough ground. Having visited Aunt Deborah’s estate before, it knew that it was a short walk from the village the train would let me off at. If I remembered correctly, I would have to change trains once to get there. Ready, I went downstairs to break my fast. There was food ready on the sideboard in the dining room and I helped myself. While I was consuming it, Mamma came in. She had a piece of paper which she handed to me and I saw that it contained which train station I needed to go to in London, what train to take, what station to change trains at and what stop to get out at.
“Thank you Mamma. This is very helpful.”
Mamma “The butler is getting you a hansom cab to take you to the train station. I’ll see you this afternoon, hopefully with good news.”
“I hope so too. If I’m going to be seriously delayed, I’ll send you a telegram.”
Finishing my breakfast, I gave Mamma a hug and went to the front door, finding a cab waiting, the driver already in the box holding his horse’s reins and a servant holding the horse’s bridle, waiting for me to arrive. I jumped in and we were off. It took a little while to get to the train station but when we got there I rushed inside and bought my return ticket. It wasn’t long before my train departed and we were soon on our way out of London and then through the countryside. I got to the the first stop and had a short wait for the train to the village where my aunt lived and then a short trip to the village, arriving about 9am.
It took me about fifteen minutes of swift walking to get to the front gates of my aunt’s estate. The gates were closed, not unusual, but the pedestrian gate that normally was open allowing access to the gatehouse was also closed.
“Hello! Anyone here?”
There was no immediate response.
“Hello! I’m here to visit my Aunt.” and I rattled the pedestrian gate.
This got a response, the door of the gatehouse opened and the gatekeeper I remembered from my previous visits looked out. I could see he recognized me but then he was pushed aside and a burly rough looking man pushed past him.
“Go away. No one’s at home.”
“Where is my Aunt? She didn’t tell us anything about a trip.”
“Gone to France, don’t know where.”
Over his shoulder I could see the gatekeeper shaking his head. Then he mouthed “Help.”
“Let me in to see the Butler then so I can leave a message.”
“Go away. No one allowed in.”
“On whose authority?”
“None Bakırköy Escort of your business. Go away!”
I reached out to try and open the gate. At that moment another rough looking individual arrived along the path that followed the inside of the estate wall. And this one was carrying a shotgun slung over his shoulder.
The new arrival “You heard my friend. No admittance. Go away.”
The gatekeeper had disappeared back inside, apparently not wanting to be involved if there was trouble. It didn’t look like I was going to gain entry. After pausing to think a moment, I turned away and began walking back to the village. If there were armed individuals guarding the parameter, I didn’t think trying to get in somewhere else to try to get to the house would be a good idea. Not only might I run into an armed guard, but even if I got by the parameter, I had to assume that there would be more guards at the manor. It would be better to see what I could find out at the village and then return to London to consult with Grandfather.
Arriving back at the village, I proceeded to the local pub, always the center of gossip in a rural village. Having been there before, I recognized the publican and waited until he was free before addressing him. Like any man good at the type of job he had, he recognized me from my previous visits.
“What’s going on at my Aunt’s? I was rudely turned away just now at the gates. Do you know anything?”
He adopted a sober face “Not really Sir. We’re worried here in the village. Things changed a couple of weeks ago and not for the better. Someone new seems to be in charge. Men now guard the property and don’t allow visitors. Servants from the estate now only come to the village escorted by the guards and won’t talk to us, but we get the idea that they aren’t happy. Deliveries to the estate only go as far as the gate, the carts are taken in by the guards and returned after they’ve been unloaded. Since you’re asking, I assume you don’t know what is going on either?”
“No, I was totally surprised to be turned away. We were a little worried that we hadn’t heard from my aunt as my mother had tried to get in touch. Given the apparent situation, I’m going to go back to London and consult my mother and my grandfather. I assume I will be back soon, with reinforcements so we can insist on entry to find out what is going on.”
The publican looked relieved “Very good Sir. The village is worried about your aunt and her family, she has always been very good to the residents dependent on the estate and we wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her. I should let you know though Sir that they have someone watching the train station comings and goings, who has a horse, playing lookout, so if you show up with a large group you may not take them by surprise.”
“Where is he watching from?”
The publican filled me in and I left soon after, to catch a return train to London. I caught a glimpse of the watcher as I approached the train station but pretended to not see him. Catching the next train, I again had to change trains before getting to London.
Chapter Fifty-Two: A Rescue Planned
I arrived back in late morning and hailed a hansom cab for the trip back to grandfather’s. Entering, having not had a chance to eat, I asked my grandfather’s butler if he could have the kitchen put together some kind of light repast and bring it to wherever my grandfather was. “Of course, Sir. Your grandfather is in the library with guests, a number of military gentlemen. And the ladies are there also.”
For a moment I was daunted by the fact that outsiders were there, but then I realized that they were not going to be outsiders long and that having at least the advice, if not the actual help, of men used to dealing with storming, or maybe the word here would be infiltrating, a potential enemy position, would be helpful. So I proceeded to the library.
Entering, I found my sisters’ three fiancees, grandfather and all the womenfolk. Everyone was sitting, having tea.
Grandfather “Daniel, I’m so glad you’re back. Did you make contact with your aunt?”
“No, and something is very wrong.” and I filled everyone in on what I’d found on my trip.
Mamma, with tears in her eyes “Oh my god, is my sister alright? Something has to be done.”
I looked to my future brothers-in-law “Gentleman, can we rely on your help? I think we need some infiltration and assault expertise. If at all possible, we need to do this without arousing the attention of whatever miscreants are in the house until the very last second, so there is less chance of any of the household being hurt.”
My sister Gail’s fiancee, Major Thorndike, jumped to his feet and saluted me. “Of course we will help Sir. Even if we weren’t going to be family, it would be the right thing to do. But I definitely suggest that we need more of an assault group than four. May Başakşehir Escort we go to the club for more of our compatriots? Plus I would like to have my batman along, he is an experienced rifleman, they are trained for infiltration. The three of us will also need to change into civilian clothes, this is not something we can participate in in an official capacity.”
Captain Reynolds, Beth’s fiancee “Our compatriots who lost out to our superior charms” speaking with a smile to indicate he wasn’t being serious “will be glad to show their metal, to the two new candidates for marriage, plus we are given to understand that there might be two more candidates currently being held in that house. I’m not sure you can understand how much it means to us to be able to enter into marriages where our natures are known and tolerated but to the outside world will appear to be normal. And that will not only give us the opportunity to appear to have children but will allow us to act as fathers, at least when we are home on leave. It will not only make us happy but will make our families ecstatic.”
Grandfather “Very well. We will have to rely on your judgment as to who to trust with this. So collect those you think you can rely on and as many as you think you might need. I assume you will bring weapons?”
Major Thorndike “Pistols only I think. It would be unusual at this time of year for a bunch of men to be going around with rifles or other long guns. A pity it isn’t shooting season, then no one would think anything of a group of men with gun cases traveling to the country.” Then addressing me “Sir, do you have any skill with a pistol and do you have access to one?”
“I am skilled in both long guns and short and if I was home, I would have an excellent pistol.” Turning to grandfather “Grandpappa, can you arm me?”
Grandfather “Yes, I have a selection in the gun room, you can take your pick. I wish I could go with you but I think I’d better leave this part to younger men. I will be not far behind you though, with legal reinforcements, I will call in favors at the Metropolitan Police and bring them to the estate in force, once you’ve had time to take charge at the estate.”
Major Thorndike “That is an excellent idea Sir, we’ll need someone to take charge of prisoners and take care of the legal formalities. We will go collect the reinforcements and bring them back here, outfitted for the expedition. In the meantime, could all of you put your heads together and draw out as much as you can of the estate and the manor, so we can plan our assault.”
So, the three men departed and I was besieged by the women, who all wanted information I didn’t have. I reassured them as best I could and then suggested we get busy providing the maps that Major Thorndike had requested.
Grandfather got out a sketchbook he had and we got started. At that point we were interrupted by the butler bringing in a tray with a meal for me. While I ate, the drawing continued. Pretty soon we had a passable map of the estate and floor plans for much of the manor but they were fairly messy with lots of corrections, so Mamma undertook to copy them over to new pages. While that was happening, and having finished my meal, Grandfather took me off to visit his gun room, where he indeed had a variety of pistols.
Grandfather “I would suggest this one, it is small enough to be carried in an overcoat pocket but has a long enough barrel to be fairly accurate at at least a little distance.”
I picked it up and hefted it, finding the weight comfortable in my hand. I found the catch and released the cylinder and checked that it was empty, before closing it and testing the action. It was a single action, so I would have to cock it before firing but that made it less likely to go off unintentionally. The trigger pull was good, not a hair trigger and not requiring so much force that it would slow me down if I needed to fire.
Grandfather got out a box of cartridges and I loaded five into the cylinder, leaving the chamber that would be under the hammer empty, another safety measure, if the hammer got bumped, it wouldn’t have a cartridge to fire. I put the box with the remaining cartridges in my coat pocket on the opposite side from the pistol.
Grandfather “I know you have to go on this expedition, but be careful. A lot of women are relying on you now.”
“I’ll be as careful as I can, but I can’t hang back and ask other people to take all the risks. I need to be worthy of the love all of them are giving me. But I definitely want to be around and whole for my lovers. So I won’t take any risks that aren’t necessary. Hopefully, we will be able to take out the sentries, make our way inside and overpower the villains before they know we are there and can offer resistance.”
My grandfather teared up a bit and gave me a hug “I’m relying on you being around also, to take over my businesses when I’m gone Bebek Escort or decide to retire. So be sure to take care. It would leave a big hole in my heart if anything happened to you. Martha would take it even harder, if she didn’t love me so much, you would probably have another candidate for your harem.”
We rejoined the women, finding that they had finished redrawing the maps and plans. Mamma had summoned the butler and she was in the process of ordering food and drink to be prepared that we could take on the train with us. Grandfather dispatched messages to a number of people he wanted to assist our endeavor, one to a police superintendent and another to a railroad executive.
Soon after, our invasion force began arriving, which grew to fourteen men before Major Thorndike said everyone was there. The men were all in clothes suitable for a jaunt into the countryside and had on coats heavy enough to conceal that they were armed with pistols. The Major introduced me to his batman, Sergeant Jones, a competent looking man who looked to be in his forties.
Once we were all assembled, Major Thorndike had me explain the situation I had found and then showed the men the maps. A discussion followed on tactics. It was decided that Major Thorndike’s batman would go over the wall and take out any sentries patrolling the parameter of the manor grounds. I asked how he planned on doing that and he pulled what he called a blackjack out of his coat and hit his palm with it. “This will put them out sir, then I’ll tie them up. We can collect them after the assault is over.” He would then proceed to the gatehouse and take out the guard there so that he could let us all in through the gate.
We would then make our way to the manor, staying out of sight as much as we could, taking out any additional guards we came across, if any. At the manor, we would divide up and enter the house as quietly as we could from as many entry points as we could find and then as quickly and silently as we could we would search the house for villains, taking them out until we had secured the manor.
“Do you really expect it to go that easily?” I asked.
Major Thorndike “Well, we can hope but I expect that there will be some resistance. If we are lucky, the men in the house won’t be armed, at least not with guns. But we won’t know until it happens. No battle plan survives perfectly first contact with the enemy, so we will have to improvise at that point. If things go wrong, Captain Rogers over there is a surgeon, so we will have immediate medical help available. Now, you mentioned they have a sentry by the train station, how do we deal with him, any suggestions?”
Grandfather “I’ve sent for an official of the railway who should be here soon. I’m a large shareholder so I’m sure we can convince him to have the train make an unscheduled stop before it gets to the village to let all of you off so you can approach on foot. I assume you want to do this in the dark?”
Major Thorndike “The final assault yes, but it would be better if it wasn’t dark when we get started infiltrating, so we can reconnoiter. What is the approach to the manor like, is there much cover?”
“The approach at the front is very open, with lawn on both sides of the drive that goes to the manor. However, the drive is curved so the whole length is not visible from the manor. On both sides of that are gardens and the other three sides also have extensive gardens that will provide cover getting to the manor. As I remember it, there is only a fairly narrow band of clear lawn around the exterior of the manor that we will have to cross, except at the front, as I mentioned.”
Major Thorndike “Good, at least that is in our favor. Now, timing. What are the train schedules like. Are there trains at the appropriate time? Daniel mentioned having to change trains. Can we get there early evening an hour or two before dark? And if you are following with the police, will there be trains you can take that will get you there later tonight?”
Grandfather went to one of the bookshelves and pulled down a book, which turned out to be a huge train schedule for the midlands. He brought it to the table and began looking. “Yes, if you catch the 3:15 train, that should get you there at least two hours before dark. I’ll bring the police on the 5:20 train from London, by the time we get to the village, everything should be over.
Aunt Patty “Gentleman, I can’t thank you enough for putting yourselves in danger like this to help us. It means so much to us.”
One of the men, who would have been quite handsome except for a scar on his cheek, saluted my aunt “Of course we want to help Ma’am. Officers of the Queen are required to be Gentlemen, regardless of what station in life we started in. And Gentlemen do not let women in danger go unrescued. Besides, all of us have mothers and many of us sisters, who we would never be able to look in the eye again, if we stood by and did nothing.”
There was a rumble of agreement from the assembled men. The planning session broke up at that point and the women moved among the men, thanking them individually. I noticed that Carol made a beeline for the man who had made such a nice response to Aunt Patty’s thank you. If he was one of the men looking for a wife in-name-only, I think he might have found one.
